Description
This is a close up of a larger painting I have been working on for a long time now, in terms of hours put in. When I finally got to the postproduction work I found I didn’t like it, but some of it is pretty good. I didn’t want to waste all that work so I made a couple of WP’s out of, what I construed to be the best part of it. Luckily I still have the tree to work with and will only need to do a little more work on it before I get to the environment and on to the rest. Still much work lost though.If anyone is wondering why this is in sci-fi, it’s because this tree in on another planet.

I'm sure not all of it was a waste....the actual work put in had to be agreeable, had to stimulate you in some way...sometimes it's not the finished product but the actual hands on that does it....you know?
besides, this tree is remarkable for the texture, flow and color and that's worth something....

Yes I like the tree and this croped part of the pic, but as a whole it didn't work. Like I said though I've redone it and I'll be submitting it soon. Thanks a lot for your thoughts on this...much appreciated.
