Hastur, is a wandering omnipotent. He traverses realities to observe every life in existance. Every so often, he gains the urge to join the mundanity of the inhabitants of the universe.

Hastur arrived in the World of Den-O at the tail end of the timeline. Where he bore witness to the Imagin being erased by an event in the past. He sees Kai begin his crusade to liberate this future from the sins of the past. Intrigued by Kai’s determination he approaches the man and offers him a boon that would be a great help to his cause. A Rider belt and a set of Cards.

Disguised as an Imagin, Hastur travels to the past to find a younger version of the suspected cause of the Imagin’s erasure, a young lady named Airi Nogami. He tells of an army of monstrous creatures descending upon her and her loved ones in the near future. And that she can fight them off using the Hastur Belt and the Hastur Cards. However, there is a cost to this power. Every time a Hastur Card is used, a potential future that Airi could have will be erased from the timeline. Eventually, there can be only one path that she can take otherwise she too would be displaced in space-time.

Obviously, this was a sham. A way to reduce the chances of Airi surviving her future ordeal.

Knowing the risks and wanting to protect her only family left, Airi wields the Hastur belt and fights alongside her partner.
