I made this for the Disney-club Disney Children contest.

I normally don't draw kids... ever. It's so far out of my comfort zone. I usually stick with teenage girls. Drawing young girls... pretty far-fetched for me.

When I saw Charlotte and Tiana on the list of possibilities I knew I HAD to do a picture of them. I drew them slightly older than they appeared in the movie, probably about six or seven as opposed to the four or five that they were in the movie.
Similar to the scene when Lottie puts the frog suit on the cat, but with a real frog this time. And their outfits were influenced by their outfits later in the movie. Lottie's was reminiscent of the poofy Glinda-esque dress she wears to the masquerade ball. Tiana's yellow was from the dress she wore as a waitress. I debated trying to make them look like they were actually dressed like children from the 20's, but decided to do a more modern look.

And of course, Princess and the Frog doesn't belong to me... it belongs to the Walt Disney company or whatever....
