Hey everyone, long time no artz.

A quick explanation: University, fourth year masters = no time EVAR!

yeah I've been swamped for time with work as is, I still like what I do but this year has drained me creatively and financially, I'm ready to move off into the big wide word of jobs....right in the middle of a financial crisis and an abysmal job market, LOL.

Anyway... During my project I have been assigned CAD monkey by my team of rag-tag product designers (after this was done) as I decided to spend some time getting to grips with Solidworks. Our uni has solidworks, Alias and Ideas as CAD packages, which we were taught in reverse order, ideas was terrible, Alias was alright but complex and finicky. I managed to get the hang of alias in second year and did a great lamp but forgot entirely everything by the end of year 3. We had no official tutoring in solidworks and as a solid modeller its a much better system for industry standards and RP. Last year I fumbled in the last few weeks getting a few prototypes done so I thought I would prepare myself for it this time and practice.

With a wealth of scifi vehicles in my portfolio what else was I going to do?

this is the third one I did, the first being a blocky tank, the second a delve into curved forms and finally this gunship. I decided to post it here as the original artwork was a tribute to a net friend, back in the early days of my devart account when I had time for arts, which you can find if you peruse my gallery.

Anyway got this one down, it refuses to render again so dont expect any nicer shots of it unless I tone down the materials, but thar she blows, in THREE DEE!
