Description
My first real digital painting, ignroe the background, its just to frame the figure.Right, so:
I started out the other day doodling anatomy figures to try and improve my skills in that area, playing with dynamic posing and whatnot, between that I ended up mixing in a few bits of machines etc, a little inspired by posthuman theory and the cyberpunk genre to kind of skice up doodling. Eventually I decided on this to do a better drawing of, because I thought it looked nice, the actual drawing had only half the wings, the rest were done digitally, in one doodle also they were meant to be twice as long and tapering but I thought this was a good balance.
Having wanted to do a painting but lacking inspiration, this idea hit and there was no stopping me. Despite the time consuming and repetitive nature of doing painting and blending, i really enjoyed doing this, it was fun and has a good end result.
I think the final product isnt bad, the lighting could be better but for a first try its fine for me, I can improve incrementally, her head is a little big which I noted at the first stage of drawing, but I didnt change it because, hey, this is a cyberpunk future, evolution dictated larger brains which means larger heads, so SCREW YOU!
I'd also like to mention this started as an anatomy practice, so I apologise for the risque nature of it.
So there, background is just filler, its all really about her and it looked a little sparse without anything, enjoy!

Yes boobies. but the boobies are only there as artistic metaphor, contrasting the soft nature of the human body (the boobies) against the metalic, technological nature of the wings (which is also a metaphor for the uplifting nature of modern technology)
So yes for those reasons this isnt a an immature adolescent doodle......no sir, not at all, not at all.......

btw just like to point out that according to evolution a higher-evolved human doesn't necessarily mean a larger cranial capacity Look at some of the later homo variants such as Homo neanderthalensis had a larger cranial capacity than modern humans
Not that I think any of that evolution crap is worth noting, but I can't help but point that out after all those courses I"ve taken in anthro
Seriously though....I really like the angle and setup of the picture. The computer I'm on currently won't let me see the full version for some reason, but I like the colours you've chosen.
And...what's with you and naked chicks? lol. Anyways, here's a quick tip for human skin - for the shaded areas, use a saturated, darker version of the normal skin tone, and for lighter areas use a desaturated colour. The more light on skin, the less saturation you see.

Quite with your naysaying........okay how about this, its a cyberpunk future, brains are partially augmented with machines/computers, the larger cranium is a design feature to accodate better equipment....
As for the naked chicks its anatomy practice.........yeah, thats all.
thanks for the tips too.

I'm quite proud of this, might have to go back and do a real background when I have the time
