Right, So for the last few weeks i've been working on concept designs for this model company.

Anyway so i got kinda sick of drawing all these tanks and mechs on their own and decided as a little bit of distraction I'd do a comic strip showing my creations in action. The catalyst was Cascador's (still dont know how to do that damn picture link thing, someone tell me!) martian colonies which I was looking at.

Also recentlyu I'd seen a couple of new webcomics that caught by eye, mainly Postnuke [link] and PinkyTA [link] There was also Gone with the Blastwave [link] which I enjoy. Which have a similar tone to what I was going for, only this is less comedy (because i suck at that) and more artistic catharsis. Its also meant to be me trying to get better on photoshop which isnt going to happen and page1 for sure isnt anything special (poor colouring, I was going to add in detail in photoshop but I was reminded how bad i was at drawing with the mouse so I didnt, needless to say more detail will be added to further pages beforehand). the extent of special effects is the bloom in the last panel. Expect more when guns and explosions are involved and please reserve criticism till then.

So yeah, its an attempt at improving on photoshop (as it goes along!) and showing off cool vehicles. None of which really are seen in this page.

The dropship thing was just really for neccesity, a future version of a blackhawk or something, it doesnt matter as its not going to have much focus. The soldier concept is another one, its my picture of the future soldier, duel pattern body armour, shoulder and gun mounted cameras with a computer interface in the backpack and a wristmoutned screen. These coordinates information gathered by each member of the squad and places target markers on enemy locations (and warnings friendlies) through their electronic weaponsights, theres no visor, instead they have a PHUD (perhipheral heads-up display) in the inner rim of the helmet, a non intrusive warning system with similar visual cues. Besides that they can use the screen to shoot round corners and it gives the feed in from their guncam as well as relevant mission data. weapons in this future use caseless magless ammunition to decrease weight. Thats all you need to know (and a handful more).
