No, not the half-samurai half-tin-opener nemesis of the ninja turtles.

Started as a sketch, went to full painting as I thought it was simple enough to not be a bother. took a while but I enjoyed it, redit the eye, the jaws and the top hook half way through.

I think my lighting is improving, though I'll leave that up to you to decide.

And for reference those arent meant to be crap claws, theyre double-hook thingies. just in case you thought I sucked at drawing crab-claws.......

So, the shredder.

A weaponized bioform developed by the Galreiach corporation in 3110 in the detla sector of the milky way. Stands roughly 5 feet tall, redish brown and extremely dangerous. The shredder is a gengineered crustacean/humanoid hybrid with an artificially advanced metabolism.

Due to its excessive metabolism and thus hunger, the shredder attacks all living things on sight with extreme agility and speed. It uses its many claw like hooks and jaws to 'shred' its prey, its larger hook above the eye is used for piecing tougher opponents and is measured to be capable of piercing inch-thick steel. It then consumes the blood of the prey that is seeping from its dozen new orifices. The saliva of the shredder is also a potent enzyme which breaks down the flesh into a more digestible form for the creature to 'drink.' naturally shredding the prey into smaller chunks speeds up this process for maximum energy gain.

Galreiach Corp. Went out of business in 3111, during the final stages of the shredder programme but before it could be adopted as a bioweapon. Not wanting to destroy his furst successful gengineering project, Dr. Kleps released the bioform instead of destroying it.

The shredder quickyl became the apex predator of planet B4481, though the local fauna was not enough to sustain a large population of the creatures, a dozen or so persisted as a niche in the ecosystem.

A century later the planet was colonised under the new frontier movement, and the colonist quickly became aware of the dangerous create, making their settlements far from the beaches where the shredder hunted. However it ws discovered by one human hunter, that although extraordinarily difficult to kill, the Shredder had extremely succulent meat, 'better than lobster' were his exact words to his fellow colonists.

Two centures after the inception of the Shredder as a weaponized bioform, the irony of the universe has struck again, as it is now farmed and hunted across the galaxy as a delicacy in human regions.
