I like the swirlyness of the reflections. Very well done.

Charcoal looks so pretty! I'd love to be able to do that!...And yet I just can't STAND how awful it makes my hands feel.
Very nice, by the way.

Really? Gosh I wish I could get past that and actually do something in charcoal. I did something in conte crayon a while back (which I didn't really like the feel of that either) and lost it. And that was it. I think it's the chalky kind. The dusty feel dries out my hands and leaves them feeling do dirty that I can't stand it. Then when my fingers rub together and that noise...I just have a hard time with it. I think my hands are sensitive. They hate soap dishwater when washing dishes. And my dad brings home these latex gloves from work that we use when cleaning the house so our hands don't get all dusty. But they have this powder in them that are supposed to keep your hands dry and not get sweaty. And I can't stand that feel either.
But charcoal looks beautiful! I really think you've got talent with them too. Way to go, Blah! Haven't seen anything from you in a while. Good to see you're back.

They do have a difference. Just too powdery. But they're gorgeous tools to work with. I bought pastels not too long ago and they ended up being chalk ones. I was slightly disappointed.
