I fell asleep listening to Your silenceThere came a peace,
A peace that replaced all of the violence that shook this body,
Once took this body
Away,
But closer.
Closer to the world and things that go with it:
Hectic
Rushing
Noises
and Blushing
With the world ringing in my ears
I couldn't hear You,
Calling me, "You're dear to Me come near to Me I miss thee..."
Then by chance,
By some fleeting chance
The world's symphony takes a breath,
And they rest.
Then I will hear Your words as they call to me and I will be blessed,
Enveloped in Your peace.
And You will give it to me,
That peace that surpasses understanding.
And though this world is demanding You will be there,
Standing,
And waiting to give Your peace and comfort to any weary traveler who seeks it
Wants it
Needs it
And yearns for it,
And You will give it,
Because that's what You do...

I can definitely hear it, very nice.....it has a flow all it's own, and that is what a lot of contemporary poets are looking for. The most important thing is that it leaves the reader/listener with the thought you were trying to put in their head, and you definitely accomplished that...keep it up!!

lol, thanks for the attempted compliment, I know its rough. But I really enjoy slam poetry and preformance poetry. You can never reall get the jist of either withough hearing them, though I hate reading my (any) poetry aloud so I would never be a preformance/slam poet. But thank you for commenting.
