The Shift is a creature that lures people into thick woods looking like a small animal that's been hurt usually it looks like a fox but it's also been known to look like raccoons, rabbits, and sometimes even squirrels after they've lured their prey into the woods far enough away from the open fields they start taunting the prey and they change their figure slowly making the prey panic after they see what the Shift truly looks like that's when they should run or else they would be torn apart The Shift doesn't eat humans it just enjoy hunting them and making them terrified these creatures have been spotted in a small town called Weirdale and it's believed that they are a myth
