If this poem is about suicide (not sure if it is but I'm assuming so), it is not a selfish act. Yes, it is not a good idea, in fact it's a horrible idea, but not to the people who are in such misery that they end up doing so.

I know. I'm suicidal myself. Therefore, in the first half, it is how the suicidal person feels - I often feel like I must be selfish and stupid for feeling like I want todie but in the second half, my friends are saying that im daft snd I should accept help because they care.
