"Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep."
"Whack. Whack. Whack. Silence"

   So began a normal day in the life of Lily Butler. She got dressed for work, went downstairs, said goodbye to her sole companion, Dusty the cat, and headed out the door to her well paid job at an insurance firm in the middle of the city.
   She looked out the window of her Mercedes Benz SLK Roadster, seeing the same sights she saw everyday she went to work. As she pulled into the employee carpark, got out and locked her car she saw Richard, she didn't know him well, but she knew he was single, and that's all Lily cared about.
   Everyone knew Lily as the top employee and top office match-maker. The latter being the most important to Lily. She didn't get to the top by a fluke, she genuinely was a good employee and deserved her place, but she had a tendency to be slightly arrogant at times, even if she didn't realise.
   "Morning Lily!", said Juliet, her assistant.
   "Morning Jules, anything in the in-box for me to sign?"
   "Just some forms from Mike, to be stamped too.", Jules replied.
Juliet handed over a bundle of papers of varying sizes and colours.
   "How's things with Rob?", Lily enquired.
   "Just fantastic! He bought me a big bunch of lilies the other day! They were so beautiful. I think you were right when you said you saw a 'connection' between us.", Juliet sighed like a teenager in love. Well, she wasn't much over twenty one so maybe it was appropriate.
   "Well you're welcome. I knew I couldn't be wrong. I just have a natural talent I guess.", Lily said as she signed a form with her elegant signature.
   "Thanks Juliet."
   Juliet knew to take this as a dismissal and left.
   Lily smiled to herself, pleased that another one of her matches as working out. he knew it wasn't long until Robert proposed to Juliet. She had known him for a few months before deciding to pair him up with Juliet. He had been in the army for 3 years and had lost his fiancé to cancer while abroad, from this Lily gathered that if he were to marry again it would be done soon enough after meeting 'the woman who will make him the happiest man alive'. She knew Juliet was willing to do anything for a man, she was a very submissive person in all aspects of her personality, whether at work or in a relationship. She also had a very teenage view on love and relationships, to her every man who bought her floewrs or said sweet things to her was the love of her life and the man she would marry and have children with. That brought the number of 'Loves of her life' up to about five or six so far. And she was only twenty one.
   Lily herself had had only a few partners, she always said she never could see herself getting married. The longest relationship she ever had was five months and she had only met the guy two days before they started going out. No, Lily was quite happy with Dusty as a long term partner.
