those colors would be awesome! i bred a shiny sableye....Im thinking they may keep the colors the same though and possibly make its eyes green and ruby green, but this would be awesome!!!

It's totally understandable to be upset that someone is posting your work without credit, but let's take a moment to consider the circumstances, okay? He's not making a profit and he doesn't seem to know any better- and now there's an army of watchers harassing him. It simply isn't fair or necessary to be this harsh.Β

Yeah, I told myself this was old news when I came back to respond but the incident has been on the back of my mind since it happened. Not that I don't have better things to think about, but I've been following you both here and on tumblr so I get reminded whenever your name comes up. That being said, my priority was to get the message to you in a discreet manner. I was going to send you an anonymous ask- but the connotation of those aren't really desirable, you know? A note would have sufficed, but think it's more effective to place this under a comment where a kid is getting cussed at for defending their friend. So you're right, I didn't pay attention to the deviation here... but that really is beside the point. Like you said, this is old news. Which is great because now it's unlikely that anyone else will read this. The conversation still feels private.Β
The reason I'm getting involved is because you have a strong following and consequently a lot of followers that will come down overwhelmingly on cases like this so long as you point the finger. I don't know if, where, and how explicitly you were about telling your followers to leave the kid alone, but I didn't see it. Maybe you contacted him privately and he didn't respond- I wouldn't know- but I think there are more tactful options (hence the journal link). The bottom line is that hate to see inspired kids here getting chased away from art because they don't know how to act upon that inspiration. Why? Because I relate to them. DeviantArt is the reason I'm drawing today. It's the reason my friends are drawing today. When I was 13, I never "stole" anyone's art and claimed it as my own but I understand where the logic comes from. Β
So honestly, this is a conversation. There's disagreement here, but that doesn't mean I'm attacking you. The point is to show you a different point of view- and my motive is to prevent future harm that you may not be aware that you're causing. The world is totally unfair. It doesn't care about anyone! But that doesn't mean you can't control your own actions- actions which may have a big effect on other people.Β

(I did talk about the note thing. Also, the issue is a need for an explicit reminder for the people that you enlist help from so that they will not go to their first impulse and harass the person. I'm not sure if you're skimming over my replies or what.)Β

Listen I know you`re upset about it. And I greatly apologize for arguing. I`ve just known my friend here for about 3 years and I know he`s not a bad person from which you believe him to be. I bet you`ll be happy to know that he is leaving dA so he wont bother you like this anymore.. I`m sorry I`m just a loyal friend to him.. So I admit I have over reacted and gotten to upset over this not have thought through my reply. I know about copyright and I know it wasn`t a good idea for him to take art without asking.. I just wish you could have just asked him to stop..

I understand he's not a bad person and isn't meaning to cause harm, but there are hours of work that go into a drawing like this. I can definitely understand how Zephyr would be upset at not receiving credit for it.

I know what you mean.. I spend many hours, heck even days on my artwork.. And it would upset me if someone took my art and edited it w/o giving me credit.. But as long as they didn`t say they did all the work I wouldn`t be mad..
