Description
A little sumthin sumthin I'm working on. It stands approx. 10 3/4 inc. tall. Should finish up next week some time. A good friend of mine saw the drawing of a seahorse that I did and asked if I could sculpt it and have it cast in bronze for her. After about 1/2 second I responded "YES!!!".Β Β I love sculpting sea life.Related content

Thank you so much Sergio!
On this particular piece I used an oil based clay (plasticene)
The tools I use are various sculpting tools I bought at an art supply store.
Thanks as well for the Llama badge, the faves and for the watch!
All my best to you,
Take care

Thanks Rich! I'm really happy with how this piece is looking.
I'm going to be adding a few more things to the base and finishing up the details hopefully this week.

I know you probably get this a lot, but I'm trying to get into sculpting bigger things, so I'm wondering, what is it you use?Β
I've only been using super sculpey/ super sculpey firm, which both cost way to much to make anything of a real nice size with.
You have amazing work, by the way! It's so whimsical, and full of character... I just love it!

For a lot of my pieces I use an oil based clay by JMac. www.amazon.com/J-Mac-McCaughinβ¦
You should be able to get it at a variety of places. This was just a link I found.
It's a fraction of the cost of Super Sculpey especially in larger amounts.
I use the tan soft but medium is good as well.
Hope that helps...
Thanks for liking my work!
Take care
