April~May 2000.
Lorena and I --both recent sad broken-hearted lonely souls- had just slept together in the same bed, without any kind of sexual contact. The jury is still out on wether that was a living proof of how much our friendship meant to us and how much we respected one another, or just a proof of stupidity.

So, we spent the whole next day sitting on the bed, drinking coffee, playing cards, and general chit-chatting. She's leaning against the wall, and suddenly I see this huge roach getting close to her shoulder, so I grab her arm, pull her against me, pick up a shoe, and crush the thing against the wall... pretty much as seen in the picture.

Yeah, maybe it didn't look THAT dramatic, but I'm known to over-react a little sometimes.

So, to Lorena, one of the best friends I ever had.
