Paint job on the Nerf Vortex Proton.Mass Effect inspired N7 design.
This was before I got a Dremel rotary tool.

Looking good there Commander. I didn't even know about waterslide decals. I remember them from model planes like 20 years ago. You also mention "before dremel rotary tool." what did you remove from the proton?

If I had the Dremel tool when doing this I would have used it to sand away the Nerf logo's, warnings and such (of which you can still see). But alas I only had sand paper and a large sander which is heavy and awkward for things of this nature.

Sweet job! How did you do the decals? They don't look like waterslides which is what I've ended up using on a few.
