Description Ok so in this screenshot you can notice how I attempted to simulate a first person view through a space helmet
(metroid prime-ish) basically Im attempting to re-do samus's scan visor in RPGXP.
basically it's this transparent image set over a panorama, also my character sprite changes to a cross-hair to add some control,
in overall, so far so good.

Wanna try this out?
ok here are the steps:

STEP 1: make a picture template, this picture has to be the same size as the RPGXP game window, if your image is too short try stretching it out until it fits.

STEP 2: Draw a simple HUD, it doesn't need to be a helmet HUD a simple HUD will do. also if your helmet is supposed to be red or green from the outside, have most of the picture colored in light red or green. (this is important)

STEP 3:Make a cross-hair, you will be using a character template for this one, basically when you place this helmet HUD image you will also need to replace your character to have a proper FPS effect.

STEP 4: Import your HUD image, when importing to RPGXP you will notice it gives you a transparent and semi-transparent option, select the light green or red background as semi-transparent. (light colors give better results or else if you placed HUD features on the image they will appear very dim)

STEP 5: Make an appropriate event, have your character change maps to a single map where there is no tileset (include walk-ability) just the panorama, then show the image HUD via show picture command and change your character graphic to the cross-hair.

Voila. there is your first person view, now add some invisible events that can be triggered by walking over them or etc... and have fun.
