Description
This is a piece entitled "When Diseased Fingers are (Introduced to) Diseased Minds". This piece is just simple a piece of art I have been working on for quite a while, and nothing more.I have been working on this piece for months and started while I was at the Red Rock Job Corps Center in Lopez, PA. My time spent up there was balanced between many things, and art was one of them. You can imagine that this piece has been very time consuming.
Special Note: This piece is a prime example of how my work has been maturing since I first started to draw. You might see other pieces that look much more so raw.

Your skill for detail is great. When I saw the thumbnail, I thought it was a monster riding a horse while it's rearing up. :3 Very nice.

It could be better, and it, of course, has yet to get worked on even more then before. I appreciate your liking and favoriting of the piece in question.

These are so beautiful... It's like a fantastical landscape filled with all manner of creatures. If it's not too much trouble, could you explain how exactly these are made?

Well, with my pieces of work that I put up, all the tools that I use are posted in my profile page...
Fine Tip pens and tablet paper (I don't remember what kind I use... however, it's not exactly cheap paper) are what I use. I focus mainly on ever changing shape, conforming lines that are naturally rough on purpose and immensely thin. All the little faces and animal heads you see on my paper are absolutely UNPLANNED... and this is no joke.
These take a long time to put out, seeing as they not only take a long time to make, but I also have to be in the drawing mood. As of late, I have been putting it off more and more (drawing in general), but have gotten into a mood where it's more then definitely time to draw another piece of work... so expect another piece soon enough!

Took me a few months, being that I juggled my time amongst many other things, and I started that piece when I was still at Job Corps, so there were many things in which I became involved in doing / having to do.

I should have two more pieces uploaded tomorrow for viewing pleasures, of course. They will both be the same piece, however, but allow me to explain...
I am drawing this piece up for a friend. I asked them what colors they would like to have used in the piece. They said black and blue. (Black was something that would have happened color wise anyway)
I am uploading the black ink skeleton and the actual finished product... those are the two pieces that I am speaking of.
Now you know...
Thanks for the Deviant Watch, by the way!

Ok. Now I have the time to really comment on this xD
First off, wow.
Second of all, how big is this work? I'm just curious
But it's so easy to just get lost in this, like a maze, and venture around.
I get both a dark, and fluid feel from this work, which I see as slight opposites, as dark typically means "harsh" and rarely fluid in my mind...
This piece also reminds me of a big island... with lakes on it, peninsulas, and a fanatically dark landscape!

Your passion for being descriptive has me yearning for more, my good sir...
All you wonderful people will get to see another piece soon, one without the blue that I will be adding later and one with the blue. It will be my first time using this color on any of my works, but all at the same time, the blue will give it something of an unusual energy to it... and it's just as dedicated to its' many corridors that it contains within its' being.
The piece I will be posting is actually for someone on gaia online, to tell you the truth. I got real excited about finally having a scanner and offered all my artsy friends free art. Only three have accepted my proposal so far, and I am nearly finished with the first.

I was told this once before by a classmate up at the Red Rock Job Corps center I mentioned previously. They said that they could look at it for forever and ever, that they see something different every time. I could see where he was coming from, being that my scrapbook is 11" x 14" inches. The damned piece of work couldn't even fit the entire scanner... poor me!

Well, in about a week, I should have two more pieces of work that I drew up for someone on gaiaonline.com ready to go... one that is uncolored, the other being choc full of blue, being that they asked for blue as the secondary coloration for the piece.

And I do appreciate any critiquing that my viewers send off in my direction. I'm at work on another piece that I started today as we speak, however, I stopped for a little and don't know when I will be jumping back on it. It's for a friend.

You're welcome.
I like doing stuff for friends. I seem to take more care over something if I know it's for someone specific.

You're welcome.
And thanks. (HA HA HA)
I love doing things for friends as well. I like the fact that I can do something nice and have them smile when they see the nice things that I do for them. It brings me a lot of cheer, even though I am heavily depressed.
And yes, having to take extra care when working on something that isn't yours gives you something of a steadier hand. For someone like me who doesn't have too much of a steady hand, that can be a challenge sometimes...

I don't know what the rest of your life is like, however, I do know that it sure as hell hasn't haltered your progress on your art work, so that's a plus.

I actually think I produce more artwork when I'm feeling down, so you're right, that is a plus.

RawFluidity In reply to Kisses-of-night [2010-09-27 12:06:32 +0000 UTC]
Yes, this is true. This shows to be a definite plus.
If you have done your research on music, however deep or shallow you went, you will come to find out that most artists when they were in their prime were not able to think straight, nor were they sober. When applying this to artists, you tend to see what changes are made when they refresh the pallet that is their mind, through sobriety.
Now... if you apply this to me, say I were shooting up, I might just hit a much darker part of my soul, and from that comes just as nightmarish creations as before. I would never succumb to heroin myself, however, with this realization comes something that scares me...!
