not bad :] I really like the grungy flow of it all
very cool colors and aesthetics overall :]

I think the better thing to do (to save on blank space) is to move your menu (or header section) up and decrease opacity, or integrate the menu and login system up top and the latest below. I say this for two reasons...

1. It becomes less confusing to the user on how to navigate or sign into your site.
2. It increases the flow and the usability of your site :]

also, your body text. I would recommend working on your kerning / spacing of margins a little. It would help the flow a little more. Some regions (like the adds in the bottom for example) the margins could be a bit wider in separation. Areas like the margin above the first dashed line and the two detailed sections above, there is not that nice of a separation there.
