I drew this on a piece of scrap paper a few years ago, after looking at way too many 1960s Dior dresses. The color scheme is based on the plumage of the red-winged blackbird, which is one of my favorite birds.

Sadly - and I didn't realize it when I drew this - red-winged blackbirds are one of those species where only the males get the pretty plumage! Actually, the females look pretty too, but they're overall more brownish with little golden/orange patches on their wings. Maybe I should do another one that reflects that coloration.

You totally should. Only make it a guy and then tell people that it's a subversion of gender expectations that was 100% planned and completely intentional from the very start.
