He is quite beautiful, props to the original photographer I suppose.. Why you would want to destroy the picture by adding that grey mesh on top of it I have no idea, it not only subdues the skin tone and colour but also obfuscates the detail of his face...

Thank you for the comment. Your observations are correct. I did use a mesh of sorts to subdue the skin tone and color as well as the clarity of detail in the face. However, that I destroyed the picture, I think, is up for grabs; it being a much more subjective response than the other observations you made. Why you have no idea as to why I designed the piece as I did... I have no idea. There are reasons why one might wish to use these expressive effects.
