How did you get the complex textures that look like circuitry? I figured it was a KPK formula.

It is not KPK. There is several formulas that give such a look,combined with appropriate coloring algorithm. There is other deviants too who make cities. As far as I know everybody uses different or several in the same time. There are transform mappings that help too, experiment.
