But I'm not creative enough to come up with a scenario

I like the expressions, even if I can't come up with a scenario that explains them.

I'm not sure how to explain this, but the lines look really natural to me. Like, none of the lines are stiff, or something like that. They give the impression that you drew this with free hand movements, and the hair and the clothes seem to fall (or stick up) in very natural ways. Yeah, I'm not making sense. Oh well. I like both characters (especially Marth) so I like the picture.

Young Link scowled up at the two swordsmen, arms crossed over his chest. "That you were the prettiest princess in the Mansion. But he's totally wrong, Princess Zelda is! And he needs to take it back, right now!"

Roy continued to look steadily more and more embarrassed as a flush as bright as his hair spread across his cheeks. Marth looked over at him, eyebrows raised in a mix of emotion as the younger boy mumbled something incomprehensible.

"Maybe it would be best if you retracted your statement, General."

In an aggravated, showy sigh to cover up his embarassment, Roy crossed his arms and looked huffily away. "Yea whatever Link. Princess Zelda's the prettiest princess. Happy?"

"... very." The young version of the Hero of Time looked rather pleased with himself. "And you better remember it!"

"Whatever," Roy mumbled, still refusing to look at him, blushing at a wall. "Go bug someone else."

Young Link shot him a little scowl again, but finally walked away as ordered, leaving the bluenette Prince to stare skeptically and expectantly at the shorter boy.

Roy pretended to ignore him until he finally cracked and grumbled, "What?"

"... Did you really get into a fight with a child over--"

"Sh-shut up Marth, I was defending your honor okay!"

Marth couldn't resist a rare smile of amusement and endearment, glancing left and right before pulling the redhead close. He pressed a soft kiss into his red hair, murmuring, "You're too stubborn for your own good."
