ISABELA: Alongside her elegant leafeon, she has grown many lovely flower pokemon, from her her gorgeous tsareena, to her brave and handsome roserade. From the largest comfey to her tiniest flabebe. But no pokemon has ever truly sparked her inspiration or passion in herbology like her new little Maractus.

LUISA: She has a small collection of fighting pokemon (like riolu and hawlucha) and steel pokemon (her darling aron). Like her mother before her, she inherited a flareon, because it's has the strongest attack out of all the eeveelution. And among them is her own mudbray, who she has to round up with the other mudbrays.

MIRABEL: Eevee is one of her only friends in the midst of her not-having-a-gift crisis. Stuffel is in the group, since she has a thing for embroidery. There's a joltik that always stays in her company, reflecting how small she sometimes feels on the shoulder of giants that is her gifted family. And she has a small collection of yellow butterfly pokemon, signifying her connection to the Madrigals.

Commentary: From Isabela to Luisa to Mirabel.

I gave Isabela her dress from the ending because I loved how creative it looked. I won't say it was easy to draw, but this (along with the dyes in her hair) were fun to color and WORTH IT! I did so while listening to "What else can I do", making it pretty inspiring all the while. And I think my favorite part about drawing and coloring her is, I based her face on Cynthia.
(Also I fashioned her maractus to be like the cactus in her song: "Not symmetrical or perfect, but it's beautiful...")

Luisa was relatively easy to draw, but I liked drawing the ribbon on her blouse. I based her face structure on Officer Jenny. And it was all to her song "Surface Pressure", which is pretty catchy for a song about struggling with high expectations.

Drawing Mirabel was my favorite part! However, drawing and coloring her dress was the hardest part, harder than even Luisa's dress. But I loved drawing her glasses and hair. Her face is more or less based on Misty and May. While it was poignant, I listened to "Waiting on a Miracle" while drawing her to get a feel for how poignantly this girl loves her family.
I also gave her Bug-Type pokemon because, like Normal-type, they are underlooked as "not special" (something my family pointed out).
