Here's my painting, but viewed in a different perspective
One where Beast and Belle and reflected in their futuristic counterparts

Although it's nice to get a classic "Beauty and the Beast" story,
"Belle" is an ode to how every story needs a fresh take, something "Ever a Surprise".

Because every telling is another way we experience it all:

a different form for our beast to take, testing his inner beauty and redeeming qualites

a variation of the dramatic irony of the heroine getting to know the man within the monster

and a new way to deliver the message, to "look past the surface"

Commentary: This was strangely hard to paint, and I wish I could've done Belle better. But if anything, I love how the Dragon came out! Especially the (ahem) markings on his back. Actually, his cape was my favorite part to draw and paint!
