Description Well this image is going to be familiar to many- mostly because I've done something like eight revisions of it over the last 6 or 8 months.

This has been one of those images that never really came out exactly as I wanted it to- at least until now....I can't imagine that I've left anything in here to fix this time (or at least I had better not have).

Anyway, the image itself was designed based from an original work by M.C. Escher entitled "Another World II".

The cats were posed using Poser4 and then imported into Bryce4 for texturing.
The room, basic lighting, textures, and all the various details were constructed using Bryce4.
After rendering the image was brought into Photoshop5 for a little post production cleanup and airbrushing to remove various flaws and to enhance certain textures.

I would urge you to take a look at the Full View before commenting- there are many details in the 24x36 inch original, such as the cat's fur and the starfield in the background, that simply do not show up in the thumbnail.

I couldn't figure out what this was when I first saw the thumbnail. The title fits it well

i really like this one as well. Several dimensions always adds to the interest as well as having the same cat in different poses in each dimension.....all in outerspace. Well done, and keep up the good work.

the reason why this is going to be familiar to people has nothing to do with the fact you've done it 8 or so times, the fact is that this is vaguely a copy of something done by robert escher.

*This* is incredible! This is very definately a M.C. Escher style. AS I study this by looking at the angles and perceptions it must have been a very painstaking process of not getting yourself lost in creating the right perception. It gives me a headache just trying to figure out the spacial placement of this in a 3D format. Yet another one of your works that just begs to be a print!

Very nice job ! Extremely !

I hope you didn`t have to fight with Bryce`s Procedural texture editor too much, It seems like a pain in the Butt to use.

Oh man if this was yours originally, u know I would be note bombing the admins 'till this was DD. I love the works of Escher, it's wicked that its in a digital form, brings arts relation to maths home with a (pleasent) smack in the balls. Wicked.

Peace
