Description
This is, of course, a drastic departure from my typical style and technique.I attempted to create this using only the most basic shapes, coloring, shading and detail in order for it to be as minimalist as possible. It was nice to not have to worry about every single pixel of detail- although getting the shape of the sails correct proved more difficult than I initially had thought.
I'll be returning to my usual routine of airbrushing and exacting details shortly.

Ya that's interesting. Quite dif from your normal artwork. Might make a good boot screen since they have to be pretty minimalistic. Just a idea.

everyone needs a departure once in awhile. taking a minimalist approach to an image once in awhile, is never a bad thing.
this certainly turned out rather nice. very simple imagery. a nice, calm and relaxing scene. something simple to relax the mind and eye. nothing immensly complicated or obnoxiously deep. it's very refreshing actually.
