Description
This particular piece is one of those rare ones that turn out exactly the way I actually imagined it.

The scene setup is based loosely from the memory of an old comic book panel I saw a very long time ago.

The scene elements are a small collection of Poser 4 props, the skull is the default which comes in Poser while the sword, shield and helmet are touched up versions created by DAZ3D .
The terrain form and a few oddball bits and pieces were created using customized terrain objects in Bryce 4.

The actual lighting was also set using Bryce, and required three Ranged Radial Lights which were used to create the various highlights, one Radial Light set to Squared Falloff and one Negative Radial Light set to Squared Falloff placed in the background.
The streaming rays of light were created using a Round Parallel Light with a volume texture gel applied and was rendered seperately.

Photoshop 6 was used in post production to add the streaming light rays to the main Bryce render. The general sepia tone was then added and a variety of airbrushing was then preformed using a Wacom Intuos Tablet.
