I painted this for the 2008 Erotic Signature Competition. I got in (YEAH). I originally wanted to submit Saving Kiss, but when I finished it, I realized that it was too tame, so I revisited the theme. I thought about painting the Saving Kiss with 2 women and 1 man, but I got bored with the idea and decided on the Merman concept. I based the likeness of the face on the French muse Drakaina. I like the light rays reflected on the skin of the characters. All comments are welcome!Related content

I agree that though the coloring is fantastic, the pose is off. They look somehow detached from each other, like all that's really happening is she's sitting on his "lap" making that face, and he likes that an awful lot. His torso (belly button) is even turned *away* from her, which, anatomically, would make it kind of hard for him to be doing what they are theoretically doing.
Also his right arm (our left) looks kind of odd from the shoulder to the elbow. Something about the muscle placement and general pose of that arm looks unnatural.
And... xD She'd be dead by now.
The coloring however is quite spot-on, and besides the interaction/anatomical flaws I pointed out, the anatomy is very well drawn.

This is a well done picture but I do think the position of the characters is off. She should be up more to better place her self... *cough* and he should be holding on to her more. What I don't get however, is why a human? Why not another mermaid?
I could imagine durning mid way she'd die.

Something is off about the way they are positioned. It may just be me but I would have had his tail going forward more between her legs then behind him. And I would have had him holding onto her more. To keep her from getting away. Maybe had them closer together and her arms around his neck.
