u can't imagine how epic this is I always wanted to do something like this but money and time are always the main issues

It's good you've taken the main model detail, the Errant Pattern armour neck guard for instance. It would be a lot more like Sheperd if u managed to make his helmet more like the Alliance standard issue, but nevermind me ^^

The idea was not to make the Space Marine look like his N7 armor, I could never make a helmet like the one in Mass Effect (and maintain nice sharp sculpting.

The idea came from a popular fanfiction I wrote on fanfiction.net; and it involved Shepard making his own properly sized suit of Power Armor. Regardless, the concept was to make a suit of Power Armor for Shepard in the model above, not make a Space Marine wear a suit like Commander Shepard's N7 armor.

It's all rather fluff-heavy, but think about it. Shepard would rather have a suit of Power Armor, rather than a Space Marine have N7 Armor, wouldn't you say?

ah yes, i managed to start reading it and i'll hopefully finish it sometime ^^

I can't agree with u more on that now that I understand what you were trying to do.

the helmet looks like an Imperial Engineer Droid (Star Wars: The Force Unleashed), but this looks freaking awesome
holy ****, can you make an armor like that for me?
Me: TK-422 can you shut the **** up?

Sorry, I grew out of Star Wars. I never played any of the video games and I had to look up what an 'Imperial Engineer Droid' was. I now dislike Star Wars (not hate it, I respect George Lucas for creating a franchise that has been popular for thirty plus years running), only because they killed off General Grievous.

It's a regular Space Marine helmet, I just painted lights on the pipes' ends and the earpieces to mimic the abundant lights on the N7 Helmet. Does this mean you think all Space Marines look like stuff from Star Wars? I've heard many call the SM helm the Darth Vader mask.

ah, , he was a cool Sith, too bad that he was killed as you said
No, only that helmet, not all, but they have cool armors too

I mainly liked him because of his cool entrance in Tartokovsky's Clone Wars (he's not George Lucas, so he knows how to use a camera properly, the scene really changed the pace of lightsaber fights in Star Wars...). I mean Darth Vader never took on what was it, five masters and one apprentice/padawan?, and managed to kill two and badly wound three without much of a scratch. And then Sam Jackson Windu crushes his chest, and he Grievous becomes the pun of smoking jokes forever more.

The problem with SM armor is that they sacrifice detail to allow more variation in colors. I wish the armor was as detailed as the new Spartan armors in Halo: Reach, but in the GW hobby they prefer to let the player add more variation in color. More flat surfaces allow for more color variation, as well as provide the unique look for the SMs. I am however constantly looking to convert and transform my Space Marines into more detailed figures, with more varied armor, gear, and poses.

I am using the torso as a base, but I have to wait on my friend to get me one from his bitz box or order one online through bitzbarn or something. I'm using Tau Fire Warrior legs as the base legs. and getting copper wire to match up with all of the cables on him has been a BITCH since the stuff is just to damn small.

I just got the Miranda miniature earlier this week, not a GW miniature but used modified SM Scout Bolt Pistols as the 2 SMGs (Locust and Tempest). I can't take any photos till Monday/ Tuesday at the earliest, my Mom has the camera with her and she's out of town for Twilight fandom stuff... But I did her face and it looks awesome so far.

tau legs .. good idea.. the shoulder pads of the necrons would be a bit wierd aswell, shape and location yeah they are really small, and about takin pics it sucks (as in twilight sucks, along with not havinf the camera lol) can't wait to see

I already have sketches of how to use the torso, I can cut away the shoulder plates just fine, the head is probably going to be a piece of covered wire with a smooth piece of green stuff as the lens, although I don't know what to use for the brow plate, probably the top half of some more wire covering I think. I already have a sniper rifle, and I didn't bother trying to make it look like any from ME but I do paint them like the guns from the game (as you can see above). I had Legion keep the N7 armor on his arm in the story so I'll fit an SM arm as his right arm, hopefully the size matches. As for bionics like Geth stuff, I don't use the banners in the Command Squads, and the banner poles when cut evenly enough make great and easy to use limbs.

I only play Mass Effect or Mass Effect 2 anymore, I really don't play anything else. I only have a few games (since Warhammer comes first before the Xbox anyday). I have the Halo (Trilogy+expansion), the two Fable games, the two ME games, Dragon Age, Dead Space, and Fallout 3, which I've put in with the group of five other games not worth mentioning since I didn't care for the rest.

i have Crackdown, Crackdown 2 (got it on monday 820gamerscore already ), gears 1 + 2, bioshock, every halo game to date+expansions (minus halo wars it sucks), modern warfare 2, Borderlands, and the mass effect that ive been playing recently is my brothers.

Halo Wars, totally forgot. I'm a General in that game because I liked it so much. Again, I liked it because it was too much like Warhammer. I really got to go now, bye.

checked your map, its preety cool, but i noticed theres no merging of objects, so there were a few gaps but its preety good,

Red-Geist In reply to restredainted [2010-07-19 00:42:22 +0000 UTC]

I don't like merging objects, and its the 41st Millenium! Gaps are probably due to earthquake-inducing tank guns, orbital bonbardments, an Ork Waagh! or two, etc.

Sorry I couldn't be on today. I had a rough day. I'm getting on now, but it's 4 in the morning in Ireland (I think your xbox bio said you were in Ireland), so why are you up at that hour?

I would prefer FOR THE ALLIANCE! but eh, they're basically Starfleet.

I got the idea for this after writing this, which was an idea after making SM armor in the new armor customization in ME2. Tell me what you think, alot of other people like it.

I'm also making a Miranda and Legion model, though they are not based on a single miniature like Shepard.

1.Prometheus ! (Stargate came to mind)

2.Don't f*** with the Space Marines

3.Didn't see any mention of a space time rift battle in Shepards file XD

4.Good story(gave me a pre-opening credits feel of a Sci-Fi series )

5.May i suggest doing something with a Leman Russ Battle Tank ?

Red-Geist In reply to MrTheDude [2010-07-09 14:01:53 +0000 UTC]

There is more than one chapter and a total of 2 series. And if Shepard wanted something like that in his file, people would know about it. If he wants it classified, then it gets a big fat TOP SECRET stamp on it.

Leman Russ? Meh, never liked IG enough, they don't have enough equipment. If a standard soldier looked like the Kasrkins, then I would play Guard. But I only play my own SM chapter and collect Grey Knights on the side.
