Another drawing from my recent Illustration class. Along with the origami plane, this was one of the objects I drew as preparation for the final still life project. I was telling my mom about my homework, and she suggested her old antique SINGER sewing machine that she has. I agreed, glad for the challenge. There are a few perspective issues--mainly with the wheel on the back--but my mom was impressed anyway and loved the drawing. (Hence I gave it to her as a gift.) This thing was definitely a challenge--not to mention it almost killed my 6B pencil--but I'm happy with how it turned out. I did admittedly leave out a lot of the ornate designs on the machine's surface, but my Mom was pretty ok with it. (As I said, she still loved the drawing.)

Final size was about 9" x 12," I think. Media was graphite.
