Description "Aziraphale turned a few of the yellowed pages. Tiny, Bibliophilic bells rang in the back of his mind."

~ Good Omens, by Neil Gaiman/ Terry Prachett

So I've been on a Good Omens kick recently. Such a good book. The wing was fun to draw, but god, I had such a hard time finding/picking/arranging the text for the quote. While Crowley runs about dropping one-liners everywhere, Aziraphale does not have as many awesome lines.

I find it ironic that the passage is about loving books, yet the drawing is made of a cut up book.

EDIT- And now a Crowley one. Because it looked lonely in my sketchbook ([link] ).

Oh, wow this is beautiful! Stunning! I love the colours and I love the quote!

...though it pains me a little if you really did cut up a book.

I still love it! And now in my headcanon Aziraphale has wings the colour of yellowed book pages.

If it comforts you, it's an authorized discard from the school library. It would've ended up in a landfill otherwise...so at least I saved it from getting nasty and rotten and at least let the pages have a second life?

And thank you!

Oh my gosh, this is absolutely gorgeous. The softness of the blues in the background contrast perfectly with the strength of the black lines, and the text on the wing gives it an odd texture that is actually reminiscent of feathers. Simply beautiful.

Thanks- I had trouble controlling the watercolor because I usually use marker, I'm glad I got the right effect!

This is beautiful. I love the quote you chose. It's such a great way to describe that feeling of the resurgence of memory.

And I know what you mean about the irony. I've made a few pieces of found poetry from cut up pages of Frankenstein, haha. Now there's some serious irony.

I love it! You know, I tried listening to this as an audio book and I fell asleep. Do you think it is more appropriate to read it? lol. I would be reading it for Terry Prachett but I may have to try Neil Gaiman.

Oh, the irony!

I can see how it could get a little wordy in places if its read aloud. XD. I had it in book form, and I was kind of glued to it, but that's how I am with all my favorite books. Definatley read it though, its one of my favorite books, up there with like Harry Potter
