Description
This is Contagion, the Third Rider and Member of the Four Horsemen, a supervillian team bent on ruling the world and ending the threat of the Heroes. Her costume is mostly black, because of the descritpion of the Third Rider of the Apocalypse.

She used to be a renowned bio-chemist with a contract under the military to develop bio-weapons. She was developing a Protean microbe, which could assume the properties of various diseases programmed into its genetic structure based on what type of electromagnetic energy was used to manipulate it. However, during the final stages of the experiment, she tore her biohazard suit and the microbe entered her system. Becuase of its unstable nature the microbe caused her to fall into cardiac arrest. When she arrived in the ambulance, the resusciation devices super-agitated the microbes in her body, causing them to morph and mutant into her DNA. She lived, but soon after she was fired, with no hope of getting a job that pays higher than minimum wage, her contract was terminated, and the government tried to quarantine her becuase she was viewed as a threat to the world's safety. That didn't sit well with her, and has devoted herself to getting rid of the government and plunging the world into chaos.

Her costume is the secondary protective layer she wore beneath her biohazard suit, which prevents the rare event her microbes might just spew from her body and kill everyone within miles.

As a result of the mutation, her powers include the ability to manipulate diseases, as well as project diseases at organic substances by emitting the Protean microbes from her pores and controlling them with electromagnetic energy from her thoughts. Basically, she merely thinks and can create any disease she wishes. However, because of the nature of her powers, she engineered a vaccine not for the diseases she can make, but for the base Protean microbe which makes up teh core of all the diseases. Just in case.
