Description
This was a recent piece from my sketchbook. I don't know what I was thinking when I drew it, but it came out pretty well.A sidenote--the "C-57D" is an in-joke, a reference to the spaceship from the immortal SF classic FORBIDDEN PLANET.

Nice design of this. Normally, whenever people make "sleep chambers" or "life pods", they make them small and cramped, but I love how you set it up with a little bit of breathing room, and for couples to be together for the long haul.

Thanks for that. It's always interesting to see how these devices are designed for various SF films, that is true.
The "C-57D" tag on the CSU is a reference to the classic !950's SF masterpiece FORBIDDEN PLANET--one of the best SF movies ever made (and one of the most influential).

It is fascinating: but I feel that it's best used to ensure that the people occupying it can move long distances without actually having to spend those days standing around and doing nothing.
I do enjoy it when people drop a reference in their works every now and then. Great work, then!

Good stuff - very nice concept.
One question - do you draw continuous strokes on purpose? It makes piece look kinda messy.
Cheers.

Hmmm....good question. You know, to be honest, I'm not really conscious of it. I guess it's just a style that has evolved over the years.
It could also be that I've been influenced by artists who have such a style, such as Walter Simonson and Masaomi Kanzaki.
Hope this helps!
