Hell's bells! I have not been here in quite a while--but as a certain Jedi once said about not being dead--not yet, anyway--I have been dealing with other things in life. There were medical issues stemming from my hospital stay in January, but thankfully I've improved a lot since then (although there were concerns about the possibility that I would need an ICD). Add to that me looking for work--something long-term, because those bills ain't gonna pay themselves!--and trying to finish up requests and commissions while being sidetracked by too many hours playing DESTINY (against all common sense, I actually LOVE this game...go figure)--and it's all baked into one large cake.

I would urge you not to take a slice, though.

So, back to posting things and getting others done--haven't forgotten those ladies, Sneakylizard and Hydra!--and I'm still open for commissions too until I land something that's a long-term gig.

This sketchbook drawing came after a period of not being able to do anything for a while. A pretty bad case of block and I ended up with this. Tilting the angle added more to it, I'd say. This will most likely be colored or turned into a black-and-white piece using screentones and shades of grey.

The story behind these characters? Well....the main character is a young woman abducted from Earth and pressed into service as a member of an intergalactic police force operating in another part of the galaxy. The long-faced alien is her partner, so consider it a "buddy cop" tale with aliens, exotic worlds, the whole space opera flavor mixed in.
