Description
My former boss liked tickets. He liked them a lot. He liked them so much that he had us creating a new ticket every 30 minutes describing what we had done in the last 30 minutes. I think of all the lost productivity filling out useless tickets... The truth is that by forcing a ticket quota (especially in a department like mine, that didn't actually get help desk tickets...) it made Boss look good to his boss who apparently also didn't know that we weren't part of the help desk.

The running joke was that we should have a prize counter, like at an arcade, where we could trade the tickets for fun prizes... like a rope, or a box of razor blades, or some anti-psychotics or something. Personally I think that somehow the only thing all those tickets would have won us is more ducks or perhaps some more free company branded office supplies because we don't have money for raises but we do have money to plaster the companies logo on pretty much everything.
