EDIT: Guys, I no longer agree with this stamp so yeah, I'mma disable comments on this one, don't know what the fuck I did.I don't know if I should apologize for having an opinion but seriously, I see no reason to care about them when we have other problems like murder cases, war and other things to worry about but sorry, that's how I am.
You are free to disagree with me but sorry, I know I'm heartless for saying this but I don't really care about them.

I wouldn't go so far as to say I don't care about rape victims, but sometimes I do get annoyed that some people (who aren't even the rape victims themselves) get so touchy about rape even being mentioned yet they joke about murder, war, and nazis on a daily basis like it's no big deal. But if you joke about rape they will unleash all hell upon you. Seriously, how can they be so hypocritical?

I agree with everyone else who has commented, pretty much. You can have your own opinion and I'm not going to bash on you, but the message this sends out isn't very good. I, myself, am a rape victim. I don't want to go into detail but the person still goes to my school and I see him almost daily. Everytime I see him the visions come haunting back into my mind and it's not a good feeling. I just wanted to point that out.

I get that its your opinion and all but, and im just putting this out there, rape haunts people for their lives. I know two victims of rape and one of them said that whenever she even hears that word she has horrible flash backs, shakes, then colapses. My only answer is that if I worry about all the crimes happening at all parts of the world I will go mad, just worry about people that are close enough and if the moment comes where you can do something for a stranger then do it.

I don't mean to be super rude and force my opinions but if we focus more attention on one subject than another-one could argue that we should worry about murder more than LGBT rights-everyone thinks that one thing is more important than another so you can't really shift focus so easily

I honestly don't give a shit about rape victims, or really, families whose children died in national tragedies or something (such as 9/11), and yeah, it's "terrible", but it just doesn't concern me at all. But I still think that the person who committed whatever 'crime' should be found because we can use them to better understand the ideology behind people who do commit those crimes, and obviously, to stop them from doing it again, because I could be a potential victim.
I'm selfish, aren't I?

I don't think we should stop caring about rape victims, but it is plain to see that our society has placed rape up on a pedestal as the worst evil that any human can perpetuate(that is, if it's male-on-female, otherwise it's considered hilarious/sexy). Of course, this is simply not the case. Murder will always be worse than rape, because a rape victim can at the very least say "I survived". A murder victim can't.
I think our priorities are, at the moment, slightly skewed.
