Awesome! I love different types of moss all growing together like this. The red topped ones I think are pretty in this.

Thanks so much. I was also pretty amazed by the variety of different kinds of moss in one place. I took quite a few shots of this part. Too bad i couldn't take it with me and preserve it somehow. I'm afraid i would have destroyed it during the hike.

You never know though... moss seems to be pretty durable. There's some that looks almost exactly like this at my dad's place and it's been there forever, even through the winter.

I know for sure that preserving moss is possible.. but during a hike you would need a big container and something to cushing out any damage to it during the bumpy ride. a big container isn't one of the handiest items to have with you on a hike. maybe i'll take a small one with me on a next one though.
