she is timeless,the crinkles around her eyes holding
secrets that are tucked away
in long forgotten creases
her lips are smothered blood red,
rubies for teeth, shined and smooth
from churning and grinding a pavement tongue
she falls hard and rises with a vengeance,
skyscraper nails itching burning skin,
saliva cascading down her chin,
glimmering under harsh street lights
her clothes are torn and tattered,
careless adornments slung on last minute,
an afterthought, a last minute preparation
she is the one you don't want and
the one you have, she is the coldness
that winter reckons and the pounding heat
that summer holds, and like the seasons passing,
she is timeless.
