Sorrow held at a distance, fades
Quickly with a crunch of time
As if the drizzling fog that
Fizzles passion, sounding
Like grey hissing smoke
When rain interrupts
Though unplanned,
An evening fire:
Just ends.

Indoors, alone
Shades drawn against
The brilliance of dark night
Moons & memories illuminate
Those once washed shores of my
Heart:  where you faced your vulnerability
With the soft, glowing warmth of blinding love
Where no light dared cast upon the trite flaws of
Our being, yet dodged doubtful shadows with edges
More rough than jagged jesting could see how … once
With serenity – safe, like caring gloves, they had puzzle-fit.

A new spring rides with gentle touch and friendly kiss
Sharp, doubtful edges seem polished smooth by
Light grains of wit upon the wind that dried
The tears of time.  So corked for aging,
For reminiscing:  the mingled-sweet
Elixir of a lasting love, waiting
Cellared in the depth of my
Heart.  As it intoxicates
This bliss, as your
