Not often you see alot of Maya or Borderlands ladies on the DA but very, very well done is this image here and that butt, lol.
Kudos to you commission work there Reliusmax and handling the this very detailed babe with all her curvy features but most importantly the many tattoos across her body. You really went all out on her in that regard and actually I think you applied more tattoos than from the game itself.
Not complaining as it really makes for some amazing visuals and you really nail that the almost alien design of the tattoos so very well. Of course damn good show on the body work as well. Getting that rather tall and thin framed body to her but really going all out on making that booty so juicy and lovely to draw you right into her charm, bravo!
Plus you're very clear on capturing her facial features from the sharp look of her eyes, the lush feel of her lips and even actually upgrading the element of hairstyle to give it some more attitude. Neat as well even without the coloring you manage well some impressive shading to give more idea of where the lighting it hitting her body and you get more from parts of her clothes, hair a her back as well.
A really amazing piece of work here Reliusmax , do keep up the curves on your part. *nods*

Thank you.
I usually like to try to simplify things but the perfectionist in me always wants to try to add as much of the details as I can haha.

Well, we're all our own worst critics as an old deviant used to tell me and it's scary how true that can be. But you hold an obviously high level of talent in your hands there Relius and I really hope you can keep up the good work and work past any of those negative thoughts that try and slow your work down.
Art should be your own kind of fun. Just don't overdo it to where you're banging your head on the wall, lol.

Yeah it tends to happen a lot.
Best way to go really art should be fun though I kinda got stuck in a rut of trying to please others to the point where I no longer liked what I was doing.

Funny you say something like that and I too have that problem every now and then. Much more with trying to appreciate those who won't want to appreciate you. You don't want to be some crazy ego centered deviant and you got out to cheers on others but you get in a stew even after the support you share, they couldn't care less to send it back to you.
That's a personal account of my own but I can see how it would get to influencing and making you start to slow down your art process. Artwork definitely should be fun, but feel free to take your breaks from it or even the people that can get you riled up. And in all that you do create, don't let it be for someone else who really doesn't care about you.
Sorry to see you've gone through this much Relius and you artwork (in my opinion) looks really amazing. Hope this conversation hasn't shooken you up by any means and I wish the best to you as for any other deviant on the website who loves what they draw. I know I'm very much a stranger in your gallery, but should you ever might need someone to talk to about this matter, please feel free to ask.
If you're not interested, I won't take any offense to it and please keep up the love and enjoyment every artist should feel when they draw. In any other way, do take care Relius. *tips hat*

Yeah it sure does have a way of making ya compare to others even when you know you shouldn't and keep thinking you gotta be on par with every other person.
N then when you snap outta it and see that you dont like where things have gone and are so broke that stepping out from where you are as much as you dont like it seems too risky cuz ya keep thinking that if you changed it all you'd get no work.
though i guess its better to notice these things sooner rarther than later its just getting round to finding your way I guess.

It can be overwhelming when ALL you do is compare. Learned over the years to just draw with only just the original reference and use as little extra reference as possible. If you find someone for example and they have a neat way they draw their hands, take note of it. Otherwise losing yourself in someone else's work is the fastest way to ruin your own. *nods*
To be honest with you Relius, be crazy! Go nuts on your work, be unpredictable and even go off the rails and just mess around! Artwork should be that fun experience and something to chuckle at when you just want to blow off some steam or just piss around drawing a random cactus wearing two hats. Your artwork does need to change, grow and vary itself so you can never find it boring. If you always draw the same thing over, and over and over again it becomes that much more stale and you start becoming picky over it.
Take it all in good stride, enjoy yourself and always keep drawing as much as you can Relius. Sorry to have yammered on so much, I just hope you realize how unique and talented your works truly are. I think that's the most important thing I want to try and nail here. ^-^;;;;
