Chapter 2: The Night Before Part 2, Pegasus Pony Fly By

A blue pony sat up in her cloud bed. 3:10 in the morning, and it was impossible for her to fall back asleep. She sighed. She flew out the door of her floating home, knowing that Pinkie Pie was probably back home in her bed already.

She reached her destination. Just as she expected, another wall had been painted black and carved into. The Black Knife and the ominous number 5 was now in the center of it. She knew what she had to do.

She spread her wings out and stretched as high as she could, letting her wings grow. They took on a larger size as though they were the wings of angels, and were so sharp that they could slice mountains. She was enveloped in the wings, and a light surrounded her as a dark blue crop top and dark blue, short shorts appeared on her body. Her dark blue and gold shoes looked heavy and powerful, and her wings spread back out, looking sharper than they had when they had first grown out.

Somewhere underneath the white words on the black paint, she slashed at the wall with her wings and carved a message to Black Knife.

'She'll read it…' Fly By thought. 'And she'll come looking for me.' She left the scene.

The next day, at eight o'clock, many of the town's ponies stood before the blackened wall, muttering amongst themselves about how scary it was. Pinkie Pie went outside, looking as normal as ever, to see if anypony was saying anything new. After all, she had to know if they suspected her, yet. She trotted past and between ponies of all shapes, colors, and sizes. She passed by Lyra and Bonbon, who whispered endlessly to each other. She then did something she had never done before. She froze in front of the wall, and read the new words aloud to herself,

"Drop me a line sometime.
Fly By"

Fly By had finally, truly joined in. Does this mean that they would finally duke it out? Was Fly By strong, or just crafty? Was she swift like her, Black Knife? Would she be a fun enemy, or a helpful friend? Who was she?

Pinkie just stood there. Then, next thing she knew, she was knocked out of her thoughts.

"Hey, Pinkie Pie!" Rainbow Dash said. The pink pony jumped a little. She didn't even notice her there.

"Hi! You startled me a bit!" she tried to sound cheerful. It looked real, but Rainbow could see through it. She didn't point it out, though. Now wasn't the time.
