UPDATE:
- Replaced Lucario with Charizard as starter character
- Changed a super-secret character
- Added DLC characters
- Switched Roy and Ike's places, replaced Roy with Chrom.
- Replaced Diddy KOng and Bowser Jr. with Zero Suit Samus and Wolf as DLC characters, respectively.

This is my ideal roster for a Smash reboot! I made this because I feel that since Super Smash Bros Ultimate was so big and complicated with a tons of huge content, I decided that the Smash Bros series needed a fresh restart and simplicity, so I decided to base my idea of the game to be the first game, although I included elements from later games.. I made myself the following rules for the roster:
1. 32 character limit.
2. NO 3rd-party characters. (Means no Sonic, no Ryu, no Cloud etc.)
3. The Original 8 (Mario, Donkey Kong, Link, Samus, Yoshi, Kirby, Fox and Pikachu) must remain.
4. The Original Unlockable 4 (Luigi, Ness, Captain Falcon and Jigglypuff) are not mandatory, but recommended to added.
5. New characters (characters that had not been in a Smash game at all) are welcome.
6. 6 characters per limit in a franchise.
7. At least 12 franchises of Nintendo must be represented.
8. You can add up to 8 DLC characters.

I put locked at some characters that I thought would be fit to be unlockable, and the character silhouettes with the question marks on it would be super-secret characters (new characters, can you guess who are they?)

My idea for the Smash Reboot:
Single-Player Mode:
- 1P Game (Classic Mode)
- Training Mode
- Mini Games (Break the Targets, Board the Platforms)
- Mob Smash (Century Smash, Survival Smash and Cruel Smash)
- All-Star Mode (Unlockable)
VS (Multiplayer) Mode:
- Similar modes (Timed, Stocks, Stamina)

Stages:
- All N64 Stages (Peach's Castle, Kongo Jungle, Hyrule Castle, Planet Zebes, Yoshi's Island, Dream Land, Sector Z, Saffron City, Mushroom Kingdom)
- Skyworld
- Castle Siege
- Smashville

Unlocking criteria for characters:
REGULAR UNLOCKABLE CHARACTERS:
- Luigi - Clear 1P Game with the 8 original characters (Mario, Donkey Kong, Link, Samus, Yoshi, Kirby, Fox and Pikachu).
- Wario - Clear Break the Targets with all 16 starter characters.
- Rosalina - Clear 1P Game in Normal difficulty or higher with three lives and less without continuing.
- Chrom - Clear 1P Game in under 20 minutes without continuing.
- Falco - Clear Century Smash.
- Captain Falcon - Clear Board the Platforms with all 16 starter characters.
- Ness - Clear 1P Game without losing a single life.
- Ganondorf - Score at least 1 KO in Cruel Smash.
- Palutena - Clear 1P Game with all 16 starter characters.
- King Dedede - Survive at least 5 minutes in Survival Smash.
- Mewtwo - Clear 1P Game after spending a total of five hours playtime in the game.
- Jigglypuff - Clear 1P Game with no conditions required.

SUPER-SECRET CHARACTERS: All of these characters require all unlockable characters to be unlocked in order to be unlocked.

???? (on top right next to Captain Falcon) - KO 100 opponents in Survival Smash.
???? (on bottom left next to Ness) - Clear 1P Game on Normal difficulty or higher without continuing.
