Description
It occurred to me I didn't have many premier blond characters, so here is a new one, Adele. This one took a while for me to get the way I wanted it, so she went through a couple revisions and scenes. It isn't where I want it to be yet, but she is too pretty not to share. Enjoy.Related content

Thank you. This is one I fought with for a while. I had the lighting reversed, more clouds, no islands, and the camera father back, and it wasn't coming together. Once I flipped the lighting and upped it a bit, her face came out, and the rest of the scene started falling into place. Once you find that spark, you build around it, support it, and make it burn brightly.
One thing I always fight against are dead eyes and cold gray shadows. They plague 3d art. I should know, I helped create some of the programs 3d artists use today. Even with some of the GPU ray-trace renderers you get incredible looking images, but there still is that missing element of light, personality, and color. You can't be someone who places models in front of the camera, it's your job to bring out who the model really is - even if there isn't someone there to begin with (so I create characters).
The other half comes from photography, and I thank some great teachers of mine way back in the days that cameras still used film. We paint with light.
If making 3d art was all I did all day I would be where I want to be.

You're more than welcome, your professionalism shines through here and is fascinating hearing the reasoning behind how you got to where you are today in this field and the technical difficulties with regards to the eyes and the lighting. Β All I can say is from my perspective it is a stunning artwork. I sure admire people with talent like yourself, to create something from hard work and imagination astounds me.

Wow Adele, is truely gorgeous! Love the angular outline of her face and, the way her hair is blowing in the wind looks amazing! Nice job showing off her full lips and big eyes as well as, that amazing bod she's got! So is she with the models or, the super powered part of your cast?

Thanks, she went through three hairstyles before this one clicked. I wanted a blond since I don't have many in my cast. She is still a darker blond, but that works too. I may tryout another character with a more golden look too. Hair can change though, Sylvie's did twice before she stuck with her 'bun' look.
I need to think about that. Right now, she is a model trying out for a regular status. But remember, Fantine started out as a model and then got the Duchess role after a couple pictures, so we will see. They need to be able to make that jump to a toon character, if their shape works well and blends with the toon figure, then they have a shot. I need to do some more work with her and find out.
I helped create this body shape back when it was developed, so thanks again and we had some talented people work on her

Mentioning Duchess made me wonder..is she still called Fantine? Duchess seems more like a super hero name to me..

Possibly. Fantine is her 'actress' name, when she is not doing the superhero project. Duchess is her superhero name, yes.
I am getting so much back story I need to write a book haha.
