Description
Another HSL-BL experiment. I am playing with this set again, and this one has some pretty good material settings. This is a fun one to light, and it also poses several challenges since it is so enclosed. I ended up using four lights here, a main and three fills, one shooting down directly from above with shadows to get me the flat surface highlights that I wanted. I na set like this, you do rapidly lose light as you go down into the courtyard, and I actually hit a blowout problem with the light on the roof. If you are beginning to encounter problems you see in normal photography, you know your lighting is on the right track.

I wish that clock was settable. Whoever missed that was not thinking. Or it's a broken clock.

Overall, this came out very moody and I liked the effect.
