Description I am spending so time learning 3d painting and 3d modeling. It is really fun stuff, but again, I am daunted by some of the program prices. Wow. Yeah. Heavy stuff.

I am using Silo and Blacksmith3d to learn the basics, but I would love 3dCoat to have everything in one. Yes, there is Blender as well - but that is a tough one to learn while I am trying to get all this other stuff in my head.

Until then, enjoy Hunter here looking all grungy and hot. She loves her fans. And Sundari too. More soon.

What’s unique about Blender is that it doesn’t build in any artificial limitations.

All my images and animations are done with it.

Thanks for the info! I have been on and off with Blender for about 10 years and I love the fluid sim. It is one of those programs that will never go away and always gets better.

Sheesh, I'm still just learning Daz Studio. I have a pile of instructional videos piled up that I need to get around to watching, if I can tear myself away from building new images for a while. Nevertheless I'll be very interested to hear about your journey. Every now and then I'll ask another artist how they accomplished something and they say something like "Oh, I just imported that into and regooberized its diddleydoot". So yes I am trying to learn even if it feels like I'm lost in a foreign country where they speak a strange dialect of English sometimes...

Yeah, it has been hard for me to learn as well - but I want to do it. I am starting with the edges, fixing a visor in 3d, doing 3d painting, sculpting, materials - but I want to get into the hardcore stuff - full modeling and uv mapping.

Even if it is just a 3d brick. If I can take a chip out of it and end up with something not a cube, but uv mapped with material zones, I will be happy.

The tools fight me, and I am still looking for the one that sings to me. More trial versions and more learning lies ahead. And if I find that one that works for me and the cost is too high I am going to scream lol.

Until then, more beautiful ladies to soothe the frustration and give me something to shoot for - but yeah, I hear you.

I have it at the back of my mind to maybe one day start creating content, not just art, but I realize that's a whole discipline in and of itself. BTW one of my favourite content creators, Sickleyield, is active here on D.A. and frequently posts about her work process. She's very insightful, I recommend watching her if you don't already.

You are encouraging me to fire up Silo again.....

To be honest, she wasn't built with Silo (though you could do this quality of work) - she is just something I am using to pass the time while I learn.

And someday I hope to be able to make things she can have in her scenes with her, maybe even other figures, so that is where I get inspired.

And thanks

I understand.Β  I have HExagon and Silo and would like to create morphs and/or props to import into Daz (plus clothing etc).Β  Modelling for "people" is a whole different ball of wax that modelling airplanes for Flight Simulator!

Grungy and hot is always more than admirable... I like Hunter's expression too!

Thank you, she is upgraded from a stock figure and the hip and shoulder changes are beautiful and natural and catch the light perfectly. Her tats pop too with this look, which is nice.

I love that skull staring at her right breast.
