Anything I can to stop a little of the pain he feels every day is what I want to do. The man has suffered enough for six lifetimes.

I can see what he says about him being intricately connected to some other realm. When I touched him, and kept touching, I felt that power. It was something beyond just magic, some connection to the spirit realm he has had since he was very young. He was chosen for something great, but he hasn’t found it yet.

Which is why everyone he knows, family, friends, most anyone around him he loved has passed away. Except one or two people he needs for whatever he is going to do. Create something, contact someone, cast some spell, say something that changes history, or some other milestone in the history of Earth. As if he hasn’t done enough already with the movies and the technology used in them. Dozens of films that made billions of dollars started with the work he did.

He told me he was afraid if he made that commitment that I would be cursed the same way.

I am cursed enough, plus I have a connection to Vex – as do most of the girls here – so by default our connection to the future King of Hell will be more than enough to protect us. My life hasn’t been fun either, but we are here to get him where he needs to be. So don’t worry about me, Vex, or anyone else on this train.

It is him I worry more about.
