Description
Shiny. Fun. Enjoy.Theory? Oh yeah, those iRay lights in Studio. Why do they put such a low max limit on them? I am cranking the things up to 5000% just to get some decent light out of them compared to 3Delight. Every time I have to go into properties and put some extra juice in them via max_limit just to get them to work. We are slowly becoming an iRay world here, and I think it's time to up the maximum limits for light by default to something like 5000-10000% just to reduce that extra step. I love the point-at functionality of the lights too, makes things easy.

Have you tried changing the Luminous Flux instead of the Intensity?
Great image, by the way.

Yep. Leave intensity alone - just work off Luminous Flux (and Temperature if you want to go cooler or warmer with the lights).
And if/when you start using emissive surfaces, consider changing Luminance Units to something other than the default.
