Description
On second thought, he probably should have bougt a dirt bike...**********
Originally a traditional painting, I decided to paint it digitally as I could achieve better rainy/muddy effects that way. It was drawn on a small canvas so did not take me as long as usual, but I could not get as much detail as I would have liked.

This would be so funny if he was driving a green cammo four wheeler with a red plaid jacket, lol. Needs really cheap beer in it somewhere, too. I love how it looks, but the bike just doesn't seem to fit for some reason. It seems too... clean.

Great pict!
True too: were we canines you couldn't hardly sell a hardtop and convertibles would be commonplace.

Glad this got a DD, congrats! You did an excellent job, I love the detail, very hyper-realistic What were the original dimensions? You said you were working with a small canvas

Thanks for suggesting it, that was very kind of you The original dimensions are around 2000-3000 pixels, and I tend to work double that size.

Thanks for your honesty. I do agree, I could have worked better on the wolf and clothing. I will try harder in the future.

Oh ok, yes I know what you mean, though for me mud is quite hard to make realistic with digital art

Thanks, I'll have more pictures up soon. I use Photoshop for all my digital pieces but also work with traditional media.

what do u mean by "Traditional Media"?
Like pencil and paper (+eraser)? lol

Rendov In reply to TimFUSE [2009-07-24 23:04:57 +0000 UTC]
Traditional media: acrylics, oils, coloured pencil, pencil, paper, canvas. There's plenty more examples but those are the ones I use

So u mean physical stuff, right?
BTW u 4got 2 put an eraser on that list (and I heard that is a sin!) U gotta fix it, and never 4get eraser anymore! lol

Yes, that's what I mean. But I only use an eraser for my graphite pencil pieces, and I probably work more with paints/coloured pencils than graphite (also, if I'm sketching I'm usually too lazy to use an eraser so I just draw over my lines)

This looks great! And too a sense, I can say I've been in that position before. My advice: Where the helmet.
I ended up hydroplaning on my Harely and after falling I skidded 80+ feet at 38mph. I got pretty lucky (only a little scratch on my arm) but I don't really fear it.
That said, I think I like this pic MORE because of my little incident .
So even though you couldn't get in all the detail this still looks stunning and awesome! And congrats on the DD !

Thanks very much That sounds like a nasty fall, I'm glad you didn't get too injured. I haven't been on a motorbike since I was very young, at least drawing them is much safer

Hehe ^^ yes, drawing them is much safer. The big shock to me is when I feel I didn't remember my head getting near the ground. After I got up and took off my helmet, the scratch marks all along it proved me otherwise >_>
But that's my little story. Again though, congrats on the DD and can't wait to see what other art you accomplish in the future .
