Description
Well, I definately think I forced this one too much. But it's the end of the deadline, and I really wanted to submit something to 's Underwater theme. Thanks to all of my friends who helped me in my last journal, I tried all of your suggestions yesterday and it worked, I feel inspired.(and i'm so glad they gave the traditional gallery the option of "illustration", I don't know why it wasn't on there before

I used to paint with watercolours to get the beautiful layered and soft colour effects you have in your graphics, but stopped many years ago.

Do! I'd love to see what you could do with them!
My problem is that I'm terribly impatient, and you really do have to be patient with them, since it can take so much effort to get the layering right.

that's why I use acrylics, they dry faster.
And good luck with them!

This is beautiful, it reminds me very much of the works of two of my favourite illustrators, Arthur Rackham and Edmund Dulac, it has such a serene feeling to it. Really lovely!

I've recently discovered both of their art, and I have to say, they are also my two favorite illustrators! Maybe that fact is coming through in my art?
And thank you so much, that is such a nice compliment

It's definitely coming through in your art, you've captured that wonderful delicate mood that I so love in both of their works, and your level of detail and colour is gorgeous. Wonderful!

Great, as always!
Lovely tones, I have an odd fascination with how you've done her hair and how undefined it is, but I think I can obtain therapy for that.
The pose itself is interesting, it is like how a human would sit at a desk a daydream, she floats.

Thank you for the comment, and here is an emoticon for you -> Maybe I should make all of the people in my drawings have hair like that? lol.

I think that hair works for her because she is underwater and it roams free, whereas on land it's a lot more composed. Who knows, it might work well.
I'm not psychotic, however, I do like the cheesey grin that associates with it!
